David’s entertaining roman a’ clef novels are based on his sixty plus years of experiencing a diverse plethora of people, events and situations. He weaves and integrates these into factual topics that include expose’ of the behind the headlines government and industrial projects and human interest intriguing stories.
All of these dramatic works have a common thread. David’s intention is for the reader to relate to the characters and their situations, and assist them in their pursuit of knowledge.
David was a senior manager for over forty-five years. His varying expertise in many industries stems from diverse management positions. These required him to always be on the leading edge in several technical disciplines and marketing techniques.
His experience includes directing departments of major corporations of North American Aviation (Rockwell), Hughes Aircraft, Boeing, Sanders Associates and Tracor. Prior to his semi-retirement, he became a Proposal and Program Manager for Contel’s Federal Systems Division. Here, before GTE acquired Contel; he proposed and managed the first US Drug Interdiction Communications System.
He also performed domestic and international Consulting assignments for: TRW, ITT, and mid-size corporations as well as the departments of the US Government.
He is an Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. During several Congresses, he presented testimony to the House of Representatives Committee on Appropriations, the Senate Armed Services and Appropriations Committees, the House Science and Technology and the Senate Intelligence Committees. Additionally, he was selected by the Congressional Office of Technology Assessment as a Technical Reviewer and assisted the House of Representatives and the Senate Committees in drafting Legislation for consideration.
During the investigation of the TWA Flight 800 disaster he was interviewed on several segments of ABC News. In one segment he recalled a related study he headed up with the missile countermeasures team of Sanders Associates for the USAF’s Air Force One for President Reagan.
After David’s wife Mary Ann of forty-four years succumbed to a long illness; David and his new wife Marilyn now live in “Outer Banks, (OBX) North Carolina” – next stop Arlington Natl Cemetery … but not for a while.
